Over past year, a number of articles were published on the website of the dissenting sister accusing the elders and co-workers here and abroad of "lording it over the flock" and of exercising "machismo" in the church. This article illustrates that the teaching and practice of the Lord, the apostles in the New Testament, and brothers Watchman Nee, Witness Lee, and Liu Chi Cheng, as well as the proper exercise of authority of the elders and co-workers are not a display of “machismo,” but according to God’s principle and order in His divine ordination regarding women since the beginning, as revealed in the Word of God. - Is it Unscriptural for Sisters to Submit to Brothers?
1 Cor. 11:3 clearly shows us a divine order ordained by God through three headships: God-Christ-Man. God is the head of Christ, Christ is the head of man, and man is the head of the woman. The verse applying the head covering of the woman to prayer and prophesying disproves a claim that the headship of man over the woman is related only to family matters and does not apply in the church context. - Women in the Divine Administration
The Bible shows us that sisters do play a crucial and positive role and function in the church life and in service to the Lord. However, from time to time a few sisters have overstepped and have caused damage in certain places by attempting to assert authority in a church or in the work. This article is a reminder of the need to recognize, respect, and adhere to God’s governmental arrangement concerning sisters in the church and in the Lord’s service so that a proper order may be maintained for the sake of the building. It presents patterns in the Scriptures of sisters serving in proper coordination with the God-ordained authority. It corrects misuse of verses such as Gal. 3:28 and Rev. 1:16 and 20 to justify subverting God's administration in the church.
